The sun had just begun to kiss the ocean’s horizon when I discovered her alone on the beach, silhouetted against the reds and oranges that were emerging in front of her. Somehow I knew I would find her here. She loved to watch the sun set. Even though common sense told me not to, I trudged through the sand towards her, knowing well how angry she had to be with me right now.
Her gaze was fixed upon the waves as they swept in to greet her. Her long raven locks whipped about her from the late afternoon sea breeze yet she made no attempt to calm them. The frown on her face should have driven me away, yet I stayed, transfixed by her
